Monitoring the pressure equipment of Storengy (one of the world leaders in underground natural gas storage) and elengy (expert in liquefied natural gas) is a heavy and demanding job for the recognized inspection service (SIR).
Thickness measurements are carried out every day on 4,000 pieces of equipment and in order to meet the high regulatory requirements, approximately 500 inspections are carried out every year.
Rationalizing the inspection of pressure equipment
Centralized monitoring of the equipment fleet Storengy and Elengy became necessary.
The Linspec solution, accessible on mobile in offline mode, is used by the Recognized Inspection Service (RIS) and allows the management of 14 sites:
- A unique tool that allows the collection of information in the field and centralizes all the work of the inspectors.
- A data entry on tablet of the inspection data (observations, photos, thickness measurements…).
- Synchronized data and automatically generated inspection reports.
- Homogeneous and centralized information, displayed on a geographical representation of the collection network: any detected defect is listed and geolocated, inspection dates are easily found, and all technical data can be used via dashboards and other statistical analyses.
” The use of a customized solution allows us to evolve the solution according to our needs. In addition, the choice of Dynamics CRM guarantees full compatibility with Microsoft office tools. We are now able to offer our customers a complete range of services,” explains Caroline Bruggeman, Project Manager at CITI (ENGIE’s IS Center of Expertise).
