What is France Gaz?
Formerly known as the Gas French Association (AFG), France Gaz was founded in 1874 and represents the entire value chain of the gas industry in France. Its role is to support the development of fuel gases and fuels, promote the energy transition and represent its members in dealings with public authorities.
France Gaz covers a wide range of sectors, including natural gas, biomethane, biogas, hydrogen, CO2 and liquid gases. By participating in regulation, standardization and certification, France Gaz plays a crucial role in the decarbonization of the economy and the security of energy supply.
